Here is a handy dandy little chart to show you how much in % (percentage) properties has increased in value (appreciated) on average in different Portland-Metro areas. Take a look at those numbers! Where else can you get even 6% return on your investment? And 6% is the lowest number on the appreciation chart.
Notice the days on the market; how long it takes to get an offer once your home is put up for sale. Not too shabby! We are seeing most homes, if they are priced fairly in the first place, sell between 1-3 months on average.
So with this quick and dirty little chart you can see that our real estate market is strong and viable. The real estate market in 2018 is expected to still be as robust and active but appreciation will slow slightly. I foresee the appreciation to hover around 3%-7% on an average next year. Still fabulous!
